Huizen, 18 December 2023 – Lidl is committed to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. This commitment extends to IT equipment.
Last year, Lidl had its surplus IT equipment safely and responsibly removed by stichting ITdonations. After data deletion, the equipment was given a second life wherever possible. Lidl donated the proceeds of the equipment, valued at € 46,569, to Closing the Loop (CTL Foundation), a charity chosen by Lidl employees.
René Bout, Lidl project manager, said: “We are also doing our part for sustainability from an IT perspective. Our old equipment is given a second life, which saves a significant amount of CO2. At the same time, we are helping a good cause, in this case CTL Foundation, to reduce the impact of e-waste on the environment.”
Joost de Kluyver of CTL Foundation said: “With Lidl's donation to our foundation, we can work on the broader and more impactful application of One for One, on increasing the positive impact in developing countries, and on raising awareness in the sector that waste reduction can be concrete, inclusive, and positive.”

NEG helps you decide whether the investment is worth it and whether better/more sustainable options are available. New or refurbished. It’s not just the price; the service, reachability and goodwill factor are also reasons for choosing NEG. They always score very well in all these areas.
So we can definitely recommend NEG, as we can ask them anything.

We received the thin clients ready for use, with all the right settings, conveniently repackaged and coded. Even when circumstances meant Parnassia ordered late, the process was scaled up when necessary to speed things up and meet deadlines.
